Booking Terms



1 Introduction

Thank you for booking Slee Cottage, we look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please ensure you have read our Terms and Conditions and the attached Fire Risk Document


2 Deposit & payment Details

A deposit of £100 is required at time of booking. Your holiday week will not be confirmed until deposit & booking form are received from you.

The full balance is due 5 weeks before holiday commences.

If holiday is booked within 5 weeks of commencement then full balance is to be paid.

Weekly lets commence on Saturday.

All utility charges and WiFi are included in the price.

The total number of people on the booking form must not be exceeded.


3 Short Breaks

Short breaks (minimum of 3 nights) are available during November, December, January & February (but excluding school holidays) and the full amount is payable at time of booking.

 


4 Cancellation

If for any reason, we should have to cancel your booking, a full refund will be made

If you need to cancel your holiday a refund will only be made if the cottage is re-let. If the cottage can not be re-let the balance of money due will remain deemed to be payable. It is strongly recommended that you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance.


5 Arrival

The cottage will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival but if any necessary maintenance jobs need to be done we might still be at the cottage.

If we have any planned maintenance work we will inform you at the time of you booking our cottage so that you can decide whether to continue with a booking. If our cottage has already been booked and it is necessary for us to carry out work we will inform you as soon as possible.

Upon arrival you are asked to read the Guest Information folder and in particular the Fire Risk Assessment. You must advise us immediately of any problems so that we can rectify them if possible.

No portable heaters are to be used in the cottage. Any electrical equipment owned by guests must be in good working order. No phone/computer chargers should be plugged in and left un-attended.  If there is any fire or damage because they have been, the owners will pursue through the courts to cover any costs if T&C’s weren’t adhered to.


6 Departure

Cottage should be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure.

You are asked to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy state.

All bins are to be emptied and all rubbish to be placed in the bin outside

Please strip all beds of sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, pillow protectors, and along with bathmats place in the laundry bag provided. 

You are asked to take good care of the cottage and contents and we will charge you for any damage to the cottage and contents.

You must notify us at once if any damage has occurred.


7 Keys

You will be advised of the access code for the key cupboard after the final payment has been made.

The keys should be left in the key cupboard upon departure.


8 Parking

There is parking for one car at the cottage. Should there be an additional vehicle then a digital parking permit for the nearby car parks is available at a cost of £30 per week. The permit does not guarantee you a parking place. The permit issued will be “digital” so a registration number must be advised before your holiday commences.


9 Pets

Pets (maximum of 2) are welcome but must not be left unattended in the cottage. They are not allowed in the bedrooms or on any furniture. Any damage must be paid for. Please clean up any dog waste from the garden. Please ensure your pets are up to date with their flea/tic treatment.


10 Linen

All bed linen, bath mats, towels and tea towels are included in the price. If you wish to bring your own bed linen please advise me that you will be doing so.


11 Smoking

There is a total No Smoking/No Vaping policy for in the cottage and garden.


 12 General Data Protection Regulations

By reading the above Terms & Conditions and signing the Booking Form for your booking at Slee Cottage you are also agreeing to me (Barbara Newton – Proprietor) holding your name, address, telephone numbers and email address.  These details will NEVER be passed to a third party and will only be used in conjunction with your booking and occasional marketing offers for our cottage.  If you do not agree to me contacting you, you must inform me in writing and sign the instruction.
